Dmitry Sinkovsky

Conductor and Violin and Countertenor

Born in Moscow, Dmitry Sinkovsky attended the city’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying with Professor Alexander Kirov from 2001-2005. Combining his studies with tours to Europe, Dmitry also undertook baroque violin lessons with early music pioneer Maria Leonhardt. Since graduating Dmitry has regularly been invited to lead from the violin and to perform as a soloist with orchestras and ensembles such as Il Complesso barocco (Italy), Concerto Koln (Germany), Helsinki Baroque Orchestra (Finland) and more.

Artur Girsky

Second Violin

Born in Riga, Latvia, into a family of violinists, Artur Girsky began playing violin at age 5.

Mae Lin

First Violin

Mae Lin joined the Seattle Symphony in 2008 as a member of the second violin section. Having grown up in Bellevue, she was very excited to return home to join her hometown symphony.

Natasha Bazhanov

Violin

Born in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Natasha Bazhanov began playing violin at the age of 5.

Mikhail Shmidt

First Violin

Born in Moscow, Russia, Mikhail Shmidt began his musical education at age 5 and won the Concertino Prague at age 14.

Efe Baltacıgil

Cello

Principal Cello of the Seattle Symphony since fall 2011, Baltacıgil was previously Associate Principal Cello of The Philadelphia Orchestra since 2003.

Meeka Quan DiLorenzo

Cello

Before joining the Seattle Symphony in 2009, Assistant Principal Cello Meeka Quan DiLorenzo held the title of Associate Principal Cello of the Utah Symphony for five seasons.
