DANIIL TRIFONOV MUST WITHDRAW FROM THIS WEEKEND’S PERFORMANCES DUE TO ILLNESS
Due to the flu and ear infection, pianist Daniil Trifonov must regrettably withdraw from this week’s performances with the Seattle Symphony on April 19 and 21. Current ticket holders will be contacted.
Hailed as “one of the most admired pianists of his generation” (The New York Times), Inon Barnatan will perform Mozart’s 23rd Piano Concerto on the April 19 and 21 program featuring works by Ibert, Respighi and Debussy. Barnatan’s anticipated debut with the Seattle Symphony in the 2016–2017 season included a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 that “brimmed with rhapsodic poetry” (The Seattle Times). In the 2018–2019 Seattle Symphony season, Barnatan will perform a solo piano recital on November 14 with works by Ligeti, Bach, Brahms, Barber and Ravel, among others, as part of the In Recital series.
