Seattle, WA – Seattle Symphony Director of Audio & Recording Dmitriy Lipay and Alexander Lipay have won the Grammy for Best Surround Sound Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards. They were also nominated for Best Engineered Album, Classical. Both nominations were for their work on the third installment in the all-Dutilleux series on the Seattle Symphony Media label, also available in a box set.
"I am thrilled to see Dima and Sasha win this Grammy,” Seattle Symphony Music Director Ludovic Morlot commented. “Dima is the best colleague a Music Director can dream of having, and our collaboration over the past several years has been a true inspiration to the Seattle Symphony and me. The Grammy for Best Surround Sound is one that is awarded across all genres of music, so I am immensely proud to see him win this award for our label with the beautiful music of Henri Dutilleux."
