Assistant to Music Director, chorale Manager & Artistic Liaison
This position provides administrative support for the Seattle Symphony Music Director in his work with the Seattle Symphony. The position reports to the Vice President of Artistic Planning and overseen by the Music Director. This position will work in close collaboration with all Symphony departments, other orchestras and opera companies (national and international), the Music Director’s agents, and many other contacts across the community and music business. The other part of the position will include additional work for the organization.
Data Operations Manager
The Data Operations Manager is responsible for a wide range of data work using the Tessitura Arts Enterprise Software (patron database system). This position manages all reporting solutions, data extraction and database use standards, and works within the Development and Marketing teams.
Resident Technical Staff – Stage Crew
As a member of Seattle Symphony’s Resident Technical Staff, the successful candidate will provide audio/visual support to a variety of stage productions ranging from, but not limited to: concerts, recordings, auditions, business meetings, lectures and weddings. This position will require video proficiency. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Seattle Symphony and Local 15 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and is on-call work with no guaranteed minimum number of hours.
Ticket Office Coordinator
The Ticket Office Coordinator performs or oversees a variety of customer service functions for the Ticketing Office. Provides day-to-day contact, interaction, and problem resolution to ticket-buying customers, and provides functional oversight and coordination to Ticket Office Associates and includes some daily and evening staff supervision.
Marketing Assistant, Part-Time
This part-time position is responsible for providing basic administrative support to the Marketing department. This hourly position is 28 hours per week.
Sales and Fundraising Representatives
The outbound representative is responsible for generating new season ticket holders and donors to the Orchestra by contacting recent, qualified prospects and renewing donors and patrons, and urging them to commit to season tickets or donations, helping, to further advance audience development efforts for the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.
Public Relations Intern
The intern works closely with the Public Relations Manager to gain an introductory understanding of public relations, PR as a career, and the role of PR at a major symphony orchestra. This task-oriented part-time internship is 10 - 15 hours per week. The intern attends department meetings and all-staff meetings. In addition to gaining real-world experience, the intern will also have the opportunity to work with other members of the communications staff to explore skills related to publications, content creation, social media and videography/photography, depending on experience
